Unable to Connect twitter and Facebook page due to August migration issue

No more pop ups for confirming that you want to connect your facebook page to twitter. Just select the page you wish to tweet automatically to and you’re done!

This is problem is faced by quite a small percentage of people (me included), so it might be prioritized likewise. For the pages that twitter has been working, it will continue to work. For the pages who have recently changed admins, the app will cease to work due to revoked permissions. So the bottom line is, if you are trying to connect your page to twitter since August 2012 - it will not work. It won’t work till Twitter developers migrate from their FBML based app to the new iFrames based app. All we can do is follow the twitter handle @support for any leads. Their last update regarding this issue was on 3rd August. Thus it hasn’t been a full week yet. Like I said, it takes a while to resolve migration issues. So let’s wait and hope this gets solved soon.

This is not a facebook problem. It is a twitter problem. Facebook shifted from using FBML API to iFrames API. Thus the app we are using to connect, which in this case is twitter, needs to disable the platform migration, or migrate entirely to the iFrames API. As of August 1 2012, the FBML API is obsolete. Hence we will have to wait till twitter updates their facebook App.
